Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy de-Domme, France on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the fourth child in the family. Her parents, who are a dentist and teacher in a school, helped and encouraged her in her initial passion for theatre and drama. The initial goal of her to become a master monkey was eclipsed by her wish to pursue a degree in theater and drama. When she was a teenager she became a star was rapid and marked with the beginning of her recognition and success. When she completed her education and completing her studies, she took part in the French talent-scouting TV program Jeunes Premiers. The show awarded her the the title of Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her career as an actor. Tautou was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a young girl and attended school there but has since renounced her Catholic background. In addition to her acting career she pursued a modeling career. She is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and has been referred to as the Chanel Muse. Photography is also her love of hers and she has been exhibiting her work at the Arles festival under the name Superficial. She is a photographer who focuses on celebrity, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her rise to fame in Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring her own self. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first role in a major film, as the lead role in The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office triumph, and was lauded at award ceremonies around the world. Amelie is the top grossing French language film across the US. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of films ranging from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
